I am very sensitive to the fact that the first few weeks with your newborn is very special. Starting a plan immediately may not be on your priority list. Some mom’s are ready to start implementing a plan from the start, while others are not quite ready to jump in the first few weeks. We can discuss your goals and find a time that is right for you. I’m happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have regarding developing healthy sleep habits with newborns.

First, let me tell you exactly what’s included in your newborn package:

A Preliminary Evaluation. This is a comprehensive questionnaire about your child’s sleep habits and routines that you’ll complete prior to our consultation. Having this information in advance helps us make the most of our 60-minute meeting. If you are expecting, the questionnaire will define your goals for the coming weeks or months.

A Private, 60-minute Consultation by phone, skype or in my office. Here we will discuss newborn strategies, learn how to address bedtime, naptime, night-wakings, troubleshoot possible challenges, and address any other specific challenges that could arise. A detailed, Customized Sleep Plan. I will prepare this plan for your family based on the information collected from the preliminary evaluation and during our consultation. This plan will address your baby’s individual, newborn needs and will provide you with clear, easy-to-follow goals to help you guide your baby to build a strong foundation for healthy sleep habits.

Five follow-up telephone calls. When we schedule our implementation date, we will also schedule our first 15-minute phone call for the following morning to address any challenges you are facing or to answer any question that have come up. The following four 15-minute calls will be scheduled on an as needed basis over a period of four to five weeks (usually weekly) so that you may help your baby reach the sleep goals identified in the sleep plan.

E-mail support throughout. As you implement the newborns sleep goals with your baby, you can send a daily email to my address and tackle any questions or challenges that come up.
